Problems Encountered In Global Projects

International organizations are involved in the conduction of many global projects these days. Dirk Kettlewell found out that the teams working on global projects do face a lot of problems. These problems has hindered them from a achieving the goals set. Problem number one is the difference in cultural practices. Working in a meritocratic environment is extremely good, but not all working environment will be like this. Some are extremely hard because of the cultural practices of the inhabitants. These practices may be opposed to the individual working in this area, thus hindering him/her from carrying the duties. The second problem is language barrier. Communication is the key to the running of any business. When people lack a common language of communication, it will be impossible for them to achieve something good on their global project.

Another problem that faces global projects as found by Dirk Kettlewell is the difference in time zones and location. People working under same time location and zone can solve their issues in the shortest time. This is different from the same people working on different time location and zone. It will consume a lot of time to solve issues among people working on a global projects in different time location and zone. The fourth problem is the movement of the teams. It will take more time to assemble the team members before sending them to the project's location. This will also cost a lot of money. Finally, the reporting dates is too a major problem that faces global projects. Team members for the project will be reporting in different time. This may affect the schedule of the work to be done. It is therefore advisable to look for solutions for these problems before starting a global project.
