America's Greatest Landmarks

America has the greatest landmarks that have never existed on the planet earth. So when on vacation, make sure that you visit these great landmarks of America, the land of opportunity. Lincoln Memorial. It is the most recognizes landmark in Washington D.C. It is a reminder of the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. The next great landmark in the states is Liberty Bell. It is found in Philadelphia. It is a 12 feet which was constructed in 1752. It symbolizes the American independence from British.

The third great landmark in America is the Ellis Island. It is found in New York City. It is an important landmark which was used as a passage by many immigrants to have an access to America. It was used between 1892 to 1954 with more than 11747 immigrants using it as a gateway in every single day. Today, it serves as one of the major historical sites in America.  Finally, there is also Alcatraz. It is a prison island found in San Francisco. In 1861, the prison was used to hold prisoners with the first criminal record due to cold waters from San Francisco Bay. There are also many great landmarks in America beside the above discussed.
